Projects on the Farm

At Honeydew Farm, every project has a story—and many begin with a pile of reclaimed materials, a bit of creativity, and the belief that small farms can do big things. These are the hands-on, homegrown improvements we’ve built over time to support our growing practices, extend our seasons, and care for the land.

One of our favorite examples is Stone Soup—our first high tunnel greenhouse, built almost entirely from salvaged steel gifted by Amber’s grandparents. The pieces sat behind a barn for nearly 50 years before we unearthed them, repurposed them, and brought them back to life with the help of family and friends. Like the old folktale, everyone contributed what they could to make something lasting.

From compost systems to irrigation solutions, every project we take on is rooted in resourcefulness and guided by our commitment to sustainability. These projects may be small in scale, but they make a big difference in how we grow—and in what we’re able to offer our local community.

Follow along as we continue to improve and expand our farm, one thoughtful project at a time.

Good things grow at honeydew.
